Nanaimo Dragon Boat Festival - July 12 and 13, 2025

Product Details

For the 2025 race season, we've arranged for lots of free parking, a beautiful paddler's village, food vendors, beer garden, local hotels for visitors...and a full weekend of medal-winning 500M racing.

Saturday and Sunday July 12 and 13, 2025

Location: Nanaimo, BC, Canada - Nanaimo Harbour, Maffeo Sutton Park

Race Course: 500 metres

Race Categories: Mixed, Women’s

Race Management: Fairway Gorge Paddling Club (FGPC)

Boats: Millennium Dragon Boats from FGPC

Special Races: Breast Cancer Survivor Challenge, Gut & Glory Challenges

Fee are as follows:

Early Bird (until April 15, 2025): $1500 including GST
Early Bird (until April 15, 2024) for Breast Cancer Survivor crews only: $1125 including GST
Regular (after April 15, 2025): $1800 including GST
Regular (after April 15, 2025) for Breast Cancer Survivor crews only: $1350 including GST

FGPC Staff Sterns and Drummers will be available (+$150 per staff person for 2 days, or $100 per staff person for 1 day).

FGPC can supply your team a single 10 x 10 tent at the cost of $100 including GST. Note: each team is allotted the space for one 10 x 10 tent only.

You may request these closer to the event date and pay separately.

Please register early to avoid disappointment. Crew registration payment must be made before registration in this event is confirmed.

Please complete and submit this form no later than Friday July 6, 2025.

Festival Cancellation/Refund Policy

There will be 25% administrative fee for all withdrawals. The final date to withdraw a team from the festival is Friday June 20, 2025 (three weeks from the event). There will be no refunds of any type after this date, including if the festival is cancelled due to safety reasons.
